What is the Empower Retreat?The Empower Retreat is a 9-day journey in Costa Rica held July 1-9, 2025, offering a mix of relaxation, adventure, and transformation. The retreat includes meditation, dance, community connection, music, hot springs, and exploration of Costa Rica's natural beauty, from jungle beaches to the Arenal Volcano. With a focus on inner growth and connection, the retreat provides an intimate setting for self-discovery and empowerment.

Where is the retreat located?Our Empower Retreat takes place in two breathtaking locations in Costa Rica. We'll spend 6 unforgettable days in Puerto Viejo, nestled on the stunning Caribbean coast. Then, we'll journey to La Fortuna, where we'll spend 3 days surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Arenal Volcano.

How do I get to the retreat?To join us on this transformative journey, you'll need to book your flight to Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José, Costa Rica. Please note that flights are not included in the retreat package. When booking your travel, land at SJO on July 1st by 3:00 pm at the latest. However, We highly recommend arriving a day early, on June 30th, to rest and recover from your travels. We'll provide lodging for the night of June 30th, so you can feel refreshed and ready for our 5-hour journey to Puerto Viejo the following day. For your departure, please book your return flight from SJO for July 9th at 12:00 pm or later.

What is included in the retreat fee?Our Empower Retreat includes 9 days and 8 nights of stunning accommodations, as well as delicious meals crafted by our private chef to nourish your body and soul. You'll enjoy 4.5 days of vegetarian cuisine and 3.5 days of local specialties, with two meals provided per day. We've also got you covered with seamless transportation, including airport pickups from SJO and transport to La Fortuna. Throughout your journey, you'll be inspired by morning movement sessions and signature empowerment workshops led by Kyla. And, get ready for unforgettable excursions, including visits to breathtaking waterfalls, decadent chocolate tastings, rejuvenating hot springs, a meaningful indigenous tribe tour, and more!

How do I register?To register, please scroll up and submit your application. Please note that this is an exclusive retreat, limited to 10 participants, and acceptance is through application only. We do not offer discounts. Once your application is accepted, you'll receive a confirmation email with further instructions.

Can I bring a friend or partner?Absolutely! The Empower Retreat is open to all individuals, and we intentionally create a safe, supportive, and inclusive space for everyone, including people of all genders and sexual orientations, as well as those in the LGBTQIA+ community. You’re welcome to bring a friend or partner! We also offer special discounts for friends or small groups, so feel free to reach out for more details.

What are the accommodation options?Our accommodations in Puerto Viejo will be jungle vibes and in La Fortuna a bit more upscale. Double Occupancy: Comfortable rooms with shared amenities. Single Occupancy: For those who desire a more private experience

What should I bring to the retreat?We recommend bringing: Comfortable clothing for morning movement and outdoor activities Sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellent A journal for reflections and notes Water shoes Water bottle Drybag for our waterfall adventures Travel yoga mat Personal items such as toiletries, medications, etc.

Will there be free time?While we have a thoughtful and packed schedule to ensure you experience the best of our Empower Retreat, we also prioritize relaxation and exploration. You'll have ample free time to wander, discover, and unwind in the beautiful surroundings of Puerto Viejo and La Fortuna. Take a walk on the jungle trail, book an amazing spa treatment, or simply just be.

Is the retreat a spiritual or religious experience?While we do incorporate mindfulness, meditation, and self-discovery, the Empower Retreat is not based on any specific religious practice. It’s designed to be inclusive and open to individuals from all spiritual backgrounds.

What if this is my first retreat?Absolutely! The Empower Retreat is designed to be accessible for all levels, whether you're a seasoned yogi or a complete beginner. Our experienced facilitators will guide you through each session and provide modifications as needed.

What happens if I have dietary restrictions?We can accommodate most dietary restrictions, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other food preferences. Once registered closer to event date you’ll receive a questionnaire asking about your dietary needs.

What is the weather like in Costa Rica during the retreat?Costa Rica is known for its lush tropical climate, but did you know that it's also home to numerous microclimates? This means that the weather can vary greatly depending on the region and elevation. While we typically enjoy stunning sunny days, we're prepared for anything Mother Nature brings. At our Empower Retreat, we don't let the weather dictate our fun – we flow with it! Be prepared for unexpected rain showers or surprise sunny skies. Come with a flexible mindset and a sense of adventure, ready to make the most of our time together, no matter the weather.

Is there an age limit for participants?Our retreats are open to individuals aged 18 and older. If you have any specific concerns about age or health restrictions, please reach out to us, and we’ll be happy to discuss.

What is the cancellation policy?- No refunds, but transfers to another person are allowed up to 7 days before the retreat. - Cancellations within 30 days: $1000 processing fee retained, remaining balance transferable. - Cancellations over 30 days: full amount transferable to another participant or future retreat. - We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule; full refund or transfer offered in such cases.
